Who is it for?

The program is designed to fit leaders and teams in a progressive, high performing environment who are dependent on efficient and productive outcomes. Suitable for those who want to improve and secure high performance, effective collaboration and sustainable well-being together – all while reaching business goals. The program can be done individually but gives most effect when done together by all in the team. What is it?

The Walking Talking platform is a tool for sustainable and continuous team and leadership development owned and developed by Go Together AB. The Leadership 1 program is a part of the platform and helps leaders and teams achieve sustainable high productivity, innovation and wellbeing together. Participants adopt good and sustainable habits surrounding team communication, meeting culture and promotes job satisfaction & mental fitness. All while getting they the main work done.

How does it work?

By combining the strategic use of walking meetings, bite-sized e-learning and science based team development, in a subscribed online step by step learning course and full-access to the Walking Talking app that supports social-emotional skills and effectful walking meetings. Leaders and teams go through steps together and/or individually to learn and implement habits that promote creativity, productivity and well-being,

1. Learn theory.
2. Reflect and contemplate.
3. Mimic and implement.

New module delivered every three weeks: Participants get access to a new learning module (text + audio based and interactive) including tasks to complete every three weeks supported by weekly reminders and guidance. The pace is set so that the team and the individual will have the appropriate time to learn and begin to implement the theory while managing their normal work tasks.

Leaders and management receive data-driven AI generated analysis of team interactions and customised advice depending on the current situation, supported by experts. In order to help the employer ensure that everyone is included, feels heard, understood and accepted.

Implementation

If I say yes, what are the next steps?

1.
Inviting all eligible employees to an information session where they will learn about what builds resilience, peak performance and happiness at work.

a) They get an introduction to how team stages develop, how empathic conversations affect collaboration and how walking meetings as a method at work support their mental, social and physical health. They will understand how to use the Walking Talking – platform as a day to day support to help them build sustainable team-, and leadership-habits together. These sessions are done in person on your premises if your employees are co-located. Otherwise they are done online.

b) Each leader and team get their onboarding kit, enrol and get started right away by scheduling eight three-weekly 30 min team sessions for collaborative reflection and to revisit the ongoing module together.

c) The teams you have decided to complete the GDQ to measure the current team stage will receive and complete a questionnaire. A team session will be scheduled with each individual team where the GDQ consultant will review the results.

2.
Meeting with Go Together to help us understand what relevant KPIs you already measure or want to measure as well as any employee and leadership support programs that you already have in place so we can map out how these co-align with the practice.

3.
Book in a sequence of bi-monthly learning sessions for the group of participants. The sessions are facilitated by Walking Talking.

What are the time commitments for me as a CHRO / sponsor of the collaboration?

In the first month, 2 hours to give us context about your organisation’s goals and resources that are available to employees, and also to participate in the onboarding session together with all employees. After the first month, set off 1 hour of time for bi-monthly group progress updates and feedback meetings.

What are the time commitments required for a member/user?

The time spent centres around the team’s delivery, collaboration, current and future goals and work processes. Each member works with learnings and reflections both on their own and together with peers as well in the team. The participants will preferably spend on average 60 min/week guided by the program; lessons (c:a 10-20 min), peer-peer walk & talks (c:a 20-40 min) and team sessions (c:a 20-40 min) during the first 6 months.

Technology Integration and Data Management

How does the platform integrate with other common technologies and resources used within an organisation?

The platform works in Android, IOS and Web on desktop. No technical integration into your systems is required. You use your own systems easily in the method and during the program.

As a part of the customer onboarding process we will interview you regarding the full range of support you offer your employees, e.g. health insurance and facilitation competencies. This our trainers and facilitators will be able to use to help you coordinate efficient group facilitation internally and support the individual team development journeys.

How do we handle data?

Go Together has put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

We regulate the handling of personal data in agreements, with the organisation and directly with the individual user.

All employees undergo annual IT security training and we have policies, reminders and routines in place to secure the following of these.

We store our users data in EU according to GDPR.

IMGD
The Integrative Model of Group Development (IMGD) is the leading research area for group development. Dr. Susan A Wheelan and her research team reviewed all group development research from the beginning and created the GDQ (the Group Development Questionnaire) tool, that identifies and measures the teams current development stage. The research has been able to prove that all teams go through all stages and that teams in stage 3 and 4 are more productive and effective. According to Wheelan, group success depends on both leadership and members’ interactions, not merely the leader’s skills. Read more here …
